MULTICORNIS
2019
Multicornis was born through the inspiration of a single image. Spanish Angel Fitor is the photographer who captured the alien from the ocean, the winged comb jellyfish. From the choice of this image a deeper observation was made in order to extract all that the image entails. What was extracted from the observation were elements such as light, darkness, contrast, transparencies, bluish tones, body, volume and irregular lines. On the other hand, what was appreciated through feelings was: tranquility, mystery, loneliness, uncertainty, peace, lightness, delicacy and fragility. From all these physical and sentimental elements was actually achieved an inspiration to make a series of 15 sketches of which only 1 was chosen, which was brought to reality by patternmaking, modeling, sewing and manipulation of a knitting fabric made specially for the design.
